Ross du Clair, Bass Guitar is one of our newest band members, but he is no stranger to rock ‘n’ roll.  Born and raised in San Francisco, he earned his bass guitar chops in the San Francisco Bay Area rock scene while touring with bands that opened for Rihanna, Charlie Puth, Marshall Tucker Band, Spandau Ballet, Yes, The Doobie Brothers, and The Scott West Band, to name a few, further honing the edge on his rock axes.  Ross produced, and performed in, an original blues album titled TROUBLE. While the album would survive only one voting cycle at the Grammys, the songs spun off more than 20,000 disks and two million plays worldwide on the internet, prompting an invitation to the Montrose Jazz Festival.  He has recently expanded into playing jazz bass styles as well.  Aside from playing his Gibson basses, Ross also holds a Ph. D in Physics.

She is extremely proud to sing and play the drums for Midnight Phoenix!

Bob Simonoff, Keyboard, Rhythm Guitar, and founding member is a San Francisco native.  He began his musical journey with formal piano lessons at age eight, which lasted about six months.  Bob did continue to learn from his Mom and on his own but eventually school, work, marriage and family, and life in general took precedence, placing his keyboard training and performing on hold.  He did eventually return to playing piano and performing after retirement from his job as an electrical engineer, taking courses in Classical Piano from Consumnes River College and Jazz  from Sierra College.  Bob believes that you never stop learning , so he continues studying and learning.  He is very excited to be the keyboardist,  rhythm guitarist, and a founding member for Midnight Phoenix!
